SYDNEY: Shadow Treasurer, Mike Baird MP recently met with ANC Australia Representative and Galstaun College Board Member Vicken Kalloghlian to discuss Armenian Australian issues at his electorate office in Manly.
The NSW State Member for the Armenian populated electorate of Manly, was presented with Armenian Genocide documents and a booklet outlining the activities and future plans for Galstaun College.
Baird who is tipped to become responsible for State Treasury after the election, was particularly receptive to the issues facing Galstaun College and expressed his wish to visit the College campus and student body in the near future.
Baird said: “I hold the view that the Armenian Australian community in Manly is a well integrated community and I look forward to joining the community at College events to further build upon our friendly relationship.â€
Kalloghlian thanked Baird for providing an audience and committing to assist the community.
He said: “Mr Baird was very receptive to our briefing and we are confident that we will be able to work closely with him in the coming term.â€
