ANC AUSTRALIA OVERVIEWThe Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) is the largest and most influential Armenian-Australian grassroots organisation.
Working in coordination with a network of offices, chapters, and supporters throughout Australia and affiliated organisations around the world, ANC-AU actively advances the concerns of the Armenian-Australian community on a broad range of issues.
ANC-AU GOALSThe main goals of the Armenian National Committee of Australia are:
· To influence and guide Australian Government policy on matters of interest to the Armenian-Australian community;
· To foster public awareness in support of a free, united and independent Armenia;
· To represent the collective Armenian-Australian viewpoint on matters of public policy, while serving as liaison between the community and their elected officials.
ANC-AU ACTIVITIESThe Armenian National Committee of Australia is proactive in a number of areas and engages in a wide variety of campaigns concerning:
· Recognition of the Armenian Genocide;
· Awareness of the Republic of Nagorno Karabakh;
· Awareness of the status of Armenians in Javakhk;
· Sustainability and Growth of the Armenian-Australian Community.
REPRESENTATIONANC-AU directly represents the following 36 Armenian-Australian organisations with a collective membership of 5,500, as well as the wider Armenian-Australian community estimated at 50,000.
