AUSTRALIA: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) has announced Mr. Gev Iskajyan as the 2024 ANC-AU Advocacy Week international guest of honour.
For two years, Iskajyan served as the Executive Director of the Armenian National Committee of Artsakh (ANC-Artsakh), shedding light on international forums and media of the plight of the indigenous Armenians of Nagorno Karabakh, including Azerbaijan’s ten-month blockade of Artsakh and the ethnic cleansing of over 100,000 Armenians.
Currently, Iskajyan serves as a policy advisor at the Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) in Washington D.C., working closely with ANCA chapters, advocates, and pro-Armenian allies across the United States to advance Armenian issues and mobilise Armenian-American communities.
Specifically, Iskajyan is working with his colleagues to advance U.S. Sanctions against Azerbaijani officials who have committed gross violations against the people of Artsakh.
With a broad resumé of publications for esteemed news outlets such as Time Magazine and Newsweek, as well as appearances on CNN, BBC and the LA Times, Iskajyan offers a unique and informed perspective on issues currently facing Artsakh-Armenians and the Armenian diaspora as a whole.
Iskajyan will be accompanied by members of the ANC-AU National Head Office in participating in the the organisation’s annual Advocacy Week, meeting with Australian legislators and officials from the Department of Foreign Affairs and will also make a special appearance at the 2024 ANC-AU Gala in Sydney and Melbourne.
Iskajyan is scheduled to deliver the Keynote Address at both the Sydney and Melbourne ANC-AU Gala events. To hear from Iskajyan on the night, purchase your tickets by clicking
