Dates Set for the 2024 ANC-AU Youth Advocates Program
Monday, 14 October 2024
CANBERRA: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) has announced that its seventh annual Youth Advocates program will be held on Monday, 18 November and Tuesday, 19 November 2024, and the peak public affairs body of the Armenian-Australian community is now officially accepting applications.
This year’s program will once again feature a two-day trip to the nation’s capital alongside members from the ANC-AU National Office and Board, providing participants with an immersive experience in the workings of Australian federal politics and the art of advocacy.
Some of the exciting highlights of this program will include advocacy workshops with several organisations, a mock Parliamentary discussion at Parliament House on a topic of national relevance, interactive sessions at think tanks and mock advocacy sessions with political staffers, Senators and Members of Parliament and attendance at Parliamentary Question Time.
“Each year through such programs, we reaffirm our commitment to nurturing future leaders within the Armenian-Australian community and equipping young, talented Armenians with the knowledge and experiences needed to hone their advocacy skills and continue the work of Hai Tad.” said the Armenian National Committee of Australi Executive Director Michael Kolokossian.
