SYDNEY: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC Australia) has announced it will screen the documentary ‘Western Armenia: Lost Motherland’ at Hoyts Chatswood Westfield on Wednesday 12th October 2011.
CLICK HERE TO BUY TICKETS ONLINE 'Western Armenia: Lost Motherland' is a 120-minute documentary about the historical Armenian land, west of present-day Republic of Armenia. It traces the tour of a small group of Armenians who visit 12 of the main cities in Western Armenia.
The documentary describes the Armenian fortresses, monasteries, churches and bridges in each region as well as the colourful peculiarities of the country; as the group of Armenian tourists travel to their ancestral cities of Kars, Ani, Van, Mush, Karin, Bitlis, Erzerum, and the majestic Ararat.
ANC Australia Community Relations Director Stephen Abolakian said: "This is a film that every descendant of an Armenian Genocide survivor must make the effort to see.â€
“It is a genuine opportunity to see the land of our parents, grandparents and ancestors in a 2 hour feature film.â€
The movie will premiere in Australia inside Hoyts Chatswood Westfield Complex on Wednesday 12th October 2011 at 7:30pm.
