SYDNEY: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) has announced that Sebastian Majarian has formally begun his duties as the organisation’s most recent Administrative Assistant at the headquarters of the peak public affairs body of the Armenian-Australian community.
Majarian, who participated in the 2023 ANC-AU Youth Advocates program, has been volunteering at the National Office based in Sydney since the start of 2024.
Currently studying a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Communications at the University of Technology Sydney, Majarian becomes the latest addition to the ANC-AU National Office team and will work alongside the organisation's existing Administrators, Danielle Der Bedrossian and Tristan Manwaring, who are led by Executive Director, Michael Kolokossian.
Kolokossian said, “We are excited to welcome Sebastian to the team. At a time when the Armenian nation faces extreme hardship, it is humbling to see young Armenian-Australians willing to fight for the rights of their compatriots on behalf of the Armenian-Australian community.”
Majarian, who commenced his employment at the ANC-AU National Office on the 1st of April 2024, said, “ I have always been interested in politics and making a difference, and I am pleased to be able to do that for the Armenian-Australian community that I am proud to be a member of.”
