
SYDNEY and CANBERRA: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC-AU) and a delegation of Armenian-Australian community leaders have met with the President of the Parliament of the Republic of Cyprus, His Excellency Demetris Syllouris at the invitation of the Australian-Cypriot community and Republic of Cyprus High Commissioner, Her Excellency Martha Mavromatti.
Mr. Syllouris was in Australia as part of a 12-strong Cyprus parliamentary delegation, who held high-level meetings with their Australian counterparts and officials.
At the meeting with leaders of the Armenian-Australian community, they discussed the positive activities of the Armenian community of Cyprus, Cyprus-Armenia relations, the threats poised by Turkey to both peoples, as well as opportunities for further collaboration between Cypriots and Armenians in Australia and across the world.

Earlier during their visit, the ANC-AU were guests of Ms Mavromatti at the official welcoming of the delegation at the Cyprus High Commission in Canberra.
