SYDNEY: As part of its commitment to advance the concerns of the Armenian-Australian community, the Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC Australia) approached and met with key councillors and candidates in the lead up to the Local Council Elections, to be held 13 September, 2008.
During the meetings held with candidates from Willoughby City, Ryde City, Warringah Shire and Fairfield City Councils, ANC Australia discussed both Local Community and Armenian-specific issues.
Each of the candidates with whom ANC Australia met were receptive to the issues raised and pledged to continue working closely with the Armenian-Australian community through its peak public affairs body.
