SYDNEY: The Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC Australia) has announced the launch of its ‘ANC Australia Scholarship-Internship Program 2012’.
The scholarship will be available to three students who, in 2012, earn university degree entry in the fields of ‘Political Science’, ‘Media’ and ‘History’.
A qualified judging panel, including experts and practitioners in each field of study and respected members of the Armenian-Australian community will select the successful candidates for each area of study and announce the scholarship-internship recipients in February 2012.
ANC Australia released the Online Application Form (available at
http://anc.org.au/page.php?22) and is actively encouraging interested students to make their submissions.
“Our aim is to attract young Armenian-Australians into areas of study which are beneficial to the long-term future of our community and our organisation,†ANC Australia Community Relations Director, Stephen Abolakian said.
“Each recipient of the ANC Australia Scholarship-Internship in 2012 will gain invaluable experience discovering the advocacy methods of ANC Australia while building the foundations for a successful career in their chosen field.â€
The applicants’ results in 2011, his/her current role in the community and general character will all form part of the selection criteria, and each of the three winners of the scholarship-internship will be awarded $2,000.
Further to the financial reward, each winner will intern for 2 weeks in July 2012 at the National Office of ANC Australia and will be placed in a Work Experience environment relevant to their field of study.
