SYDNEY: On Thursday 12 September 2013, the Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC Australia) held the inaugural launch event of its Professional Network (ANC Australia-PN) with noted Armenian venture capitalist Pierre Hennes.
The launch, which was held at the Ivy Sunroom, attracted 200 Armenian professionals representing a cross-section of industries, who made use of a unique networking opportunity as well as hearing from Hennes.
Jonathan O’Dea MP, NSW Member for Davidson, opened the event and congratulated the ANC Australia-PN team for embarking on this exciting new chapter, and congratulated ANC Australia for its ongoing work.
ANC Australia’s Executive Director Vache Kahramanian held an in-depth Q&A session with Hennes, who outlined his experiences and shared his advice and recommendations with those in attendance.
Chairman of the ANC Australia-PN, Shant Soghomonian, remarked at the conclusion of the event: “We are delighted at the successful launch of the Armenian National Committee of Australia-Professional Network. The PN team spent several months planning and organising the event.”
“Pierre Hennes was an essential part of the successful launch and we thank him for taking the time to visit Australia from Singapore to join us for the launch. All those who were in attendance benefited greatly from Pierre’s advice,” Soghomonian added.
