The following is a message from the Armenian National Committee of Australia (ANC Australia):
"As the situation in Syria continues to escalate on a daily basis, the Armenian diaspora is concerned about the safety and well-being of the 80,000 plus Armenians living in Syria.
The Armenian National Committee of Australia has been working tirelessly with our friends in the Federal Parliament to address the issue and discuss various proposals.
High-level ministerial meetings are scheduled for the coming days and ANC Australia is working with fellow community organisations to formulate a group of Armenian-Australians to assist in the implementation of any such outcomes."
