SYDNEY: As part of the 94th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the Armenian Youth Federation of Australia (AYF Australia) has announced details of a live panel discussion with the topic: BEYOND RECOGNITION?
AYF Australia has invited respected Armenian-Australian community members, including Ms. Gladys Berejiklian MP (NSW Member for Willoughby), Mr. Varant Meguerditchian (President of ANC Australia), Mr. Greg Soghomonian (Political Advisor), Mr. Sassoon Grigorian (Former Senior Advisor to NSW Premier), Mr. Vicken Babkenian (Director of Australian Institute for Holocaust and Genocide Studies), to join AYF Australia Chairperson, Mr. Kevork Sarhad Tufenkjian on the panel.
The panel will be mediated by ANC Australia Communications Officer Haig Kayserian.
"It is now beyond fact that the Armenian Genocide happened. The question has become 'when - not if - Turkey recognises it, what next?" explained Tufenkjian. "This panel will be tested by questions we all want answered."
