The ABC's Foreign Correspondent program on Tuesday, 22 April broadcast a report by Eric Campbell titled
'Armenia/Turkey - Ghosts of the Past'.
The report featured Campbell interviewing Armenian sources within Armenia, and Turkish sources within Turkey.
His Armenia coverage included a visit to the Armenian Genocide Memorial, where he agreed that the evidence of the still-denied Armenian Genocide was irrefutable.
Campbell's Turkey coverage accurately portrayed the denialist regime that charged prominent Turkish-Armenian journalist, Hrant Dink with 'insulting Turkishness'. A charge that ultimately sent Dink to his death in January 2007. The report also featured a chilling interview with a Turkish Justice Party MP, where Campbell challenged the gentleman's claims of Genocide Denial by showing images of the attrocities committed by the government of Turkey in 1915.
The Armenian National Committee of Australia asks you to join us in congratulating ABC Foreign Correspondent, and Eric Campbell for a brilliant report that accurately portrays the very denialism harming Turkey's advance toward an accepted world democracy.
