Schedule of Events: 102nd Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Australia

SYDNEY & MELBOURNE: The Armenian Genocide Commemorative Committee (AGCC) announces the following schedule of events organised to commemorate the 102nd Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in Australia.
A) SYDNEY #MARCHFORJUSTICE - 23 April The Sydney #MARCHFORJUSTICE will take place on Sunday, April 23rd 2017. It will begin at the Hyde Park Fountain in Sydney, and end with a special program at First Fleet Park in Circular Quay (The Rocks).
A number of buses have been organised to transport participants to and from the City. They will depart from:
Ararat Scout Hall - Quarry Road, Ryde at 12:30pm
Armenian Apostolic Church - 10 Macquarie Street, Chatswood at 1:00pm
Armenian Cultural Centre - 259 Penshurst Street, Willoughby at 1:00pm
Navasart Scout Hall - 1 Rowley Street, Smithfield at 12:15pm
Forestville - Shops at Darley Street Centre, Forestville at 12:15pm
Please note all buses will be returning back to their original locations after the closing of the event, by around 4:30pm.
Leaders of Armenian-Australian religious, political, cultural, relief and youth organisations have called on the community to join Sydney's #MARCHFORJUSTICE to honour the memory of the 1.5 million victims of the Armenian Genocide, and renew their oath of justice for their ancestors.
The Melbourne Armenian Genocide Commemoration Evening, featuring international keynote speaker, Kate Nahapetian of the Armenian Legal Centre for Justice & Human Rights, will take place on Sunday, 23 April 2017, 6:30pm at the Mazenod College in Mulgrave.

D - NATIONAL ARMENIAN GENOCIDE COMMEMORATION EVENING (SYDNEY) - 24 April
E - RYDE CITY COUNCIL ARMENIAN GENOCIDE COMMEMORATION - 29 April
F - WREATH LAYING & ARMENIAN GENOCIDE COMMEMORATIVE LECTURE AT NSW PARLIAMENT HOUSE - 1 MAY
The annual Wreath Laying & Armenian Genocide Commemorative Lecture, organised by the Australian Institute for Holocaust & Genocide Studies, will take place on Monday, 1st May at the NSW Parliament House Peace Garden and Theatre - from 6:30pm.
The lecture will be delivered by Kate Nahapetian of the Armenian Legal Centre for Justice & Human Rights.
